In his experience representing developers, landlords, tenants, purchasers, and sellers in his commercial and residential real estate practice, Jim has handled many multi-million dollar transactions.
Having received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, he spent several years in the residential construction industry. Next, he attended the University of Florida College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate. He graduated with honors in 1993.
Jim was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. He joined the Clayton-Johnston law firm located in that city. There his practice focused on the area of real property law. In 1998 he moved to Tampa to work with a firm overseeing complex product liability cases.
Upon leaving litigation, Jim returned to his favorite area of practice, real estate. He first joined a small boutique title agency in South Tampa, where he became a partner.
Most recently, he served as General Counsel for a large title agency.
Over the years, Jim has been highly active in the community. He served on the Board of Directors of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Home Builders Associations, and many other organizations.
When he’s not working, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing golf with his son, and working around the house.
