Joshua P. Perez is an Estate Planning and Probate Attorney at Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC, with a deep commitment to helping clients navigate the complexities of estate planning with care and compassion. Born in New York City and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Josh has always had a passion for serving his community and empowering others to secure their futures.

Josh’s professional journey began in real estate, where he became a licensed Realtor® and worked with buyers and sellers across the Tampa Bay area. He went on to study at St. Petersburg College and the University of South Florida before moving to Washington, DC to work as a Congressional aide. This experience furthered his understanding of policy and law, setting the stage for his future in estate planning.

During law school at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, Josh distinguished himself as a leader, holding roles in the Evening Law Students Association and The Federalist Society. He also served as a student attorney in the Veterans’ Advocacy & Estate Planning clinic, reinforcing his passion for helping individuals protect their assets and legacy. In addition to his law degree, Josh earned a certificate in communications law from Catholic University’s Law and Technology Institute.

Josh’s legal career began in Washington, DC, as an Associate Policy Counsel at a telecommunications trade association before he focused his practice on estate planning and probate law. As an estate planner, Josh works closely with clients to educate them on the importance of comprehensive estate planning, probate avoidance, and wealth preservation, ensuring their wishes are honored and their loved ones are cared for.

Known for his warm and genuine approach, Josh treats every client like family. His caring nature and dedication to others’ success shine through in every interaction, whether he’s guiding clients through difficult decisions or helping them achieve peace of mind for the future.

Outside of his legal practice, Josh enjoys attending live music performances and collecting political memorabilia, particularly campaign buttons. He is a former member of The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra and The Florida Orchestra.
