Melissa Strassner, Esq

Melissa Strassner, Esq.

Melissa is an attorney who focuses her practice on land use, zoning, environmental, and development law. Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Arts in legal studies from the University of Central Florida (2009) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law (2013), graduating cum laude.

Prior to law school, Melissa worked for a real estate developer in the greater Orlando area. In this position, Melissa learned all aspects of the real estate development process. While in law school, Melissa was a trial team member, and she spent her last year of law school coaching her colleagues on pre-trial procedures and trial advocacy. Melissa began her legal career as a litigator representing corporations and individuals in civil defense matters. Melissa then returned to her passion for real estate and has been involved in various aspects of real estate entitlement and development in the private and public sectors ever since.

Melissa is licensed to practice in the state of Florida. She is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, Environmental Law and Land Use Section (Florida Bar), Sarasota Chamber of Commerce (Engagement Program), Commercial Real Estate Alliance (CREA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Gulf Coast Builders Exchange.
