Michael J. Rutledge, Esq. has been a legal professional since the early 2000s. As the son of a trial lawyer, Mike grew up watching his dad in court and assisting him at his law firm from a young age. Mike is originally from Michigan and holds degrees from Boston University and the University of Miami. Prior to law school, Mike substantively assisted trial teams representing some of the world’s largest technology companies in courts and arbitration proceedings across the country. Before joining BPE, Mike was a complex commercial litigator at a global Am Law 100 firm in Miami.

Mike has extensive experience successfully handling a wide variety of civil disputes, including construction, real estate, personal injury, and business disputes. Additionally, Mike has aggressively represented clients in intellectual property, fraud, professional malpractice, maritime, employment, and financial services disputes throughout the State of Florida.

Away from the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his family on the tennis court and on the water watching his sons race sailboats. Mike is excited to bring his diverse practice to BPE, where his commitment to providing outstanding legal service aligns well with BPE’s stellar reputation.
