Contract Refresher: Important Reminders for Residential FAR/BAR Contracts

Join Berlin Patten Ebling attorneys for seminars covering contractual issues and real estate market trends.

This contracts class will provide a detailed overview of drafting a contract using the FAR/BAR Residential Contracts for Sale and Purchase. Attorney T.R. Smith, Esq. will review areas of the contract including having the appropriate party execute the contract when dealing with an entity, trust, or estate, properly completing Section 2 and Section 8(b) when the Buyer is obtaining a loan, and attaching and fully completing the appropriate contract addenda or riders.

There are many nuances in the contract that can have great implications for the parties and leaving a blank unfilled or failing to include pertinent information can be detrimental. We will also explore a few real life examples of how failing to tailor the contract to a client’s needs can result in unexpected consequences.
