Mr. DeMarsh practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate litigation, and residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Mr. DeMarsh grew up in Nokomis, Florida. Ben is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance with honors (2011). Ben attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law (2014). He served as the President of the UT Health Law & Bioethics Society, and he was a member of the UT Health Law Transactional Competition Team. During law school, Ben worked at the Travis County Attorney’s Office as a law clerk serving the Transactions Division, The Health Services Division, and the Open Records Division.
After being admitted to the Texas Bar in 2014, Ben launched his own law practice in Austin, Texas. As a solo practitioner, Mr. DeMarsh served entities in the health care and information technology industries. Ben has assisted governmental entities and private organizations with complex transaction execution in a variety of regulatory environments.
Family, friends, and fond memories of salt water inevitably brought Ben back to the Sarasota area. Ben was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2015. Since joining Berlin Patten Ebling, Ben has shifted his practice focus towards real estate litigation and the execution of real estate transactions. Ben is a well-rounded litigation and transactions lawyer, who aims to resolve disputes without the need for costly litigation. However, when litigation is unavoidable, Ben is a tenacious advocate in the courtroom.
Ben is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association. He has been involved as a fundraiser and policy advocate with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation since 2000. In his free time, Ben enjoys scuba diving, kayaking, and camping.
